Introduction
The Relevant Achievers Impacting Nations (RAIN) and The World Conference of Mayors Inc. (WCM) partnership is a collective effort to support and strengthen each organization’s mission. We will work together to foster hope, goodwill, and sustainable development in communities worldwide by leveraging our expertise, networks, and resources.
In the last twenty-eight (28) years, the Relevant Achievers Impacting Nations (RAIN) has through conferences, masterclasses, boot camps, campus outreach, community fellowships, prison outreach, training programs, book writing and publication, and so on, impacted hundreds of thousands of people – largely youth – across the globe.
In April 1984, The World Conference of Mayors Inc. (WCM) was founded and organized as a non-profit and non-political worldwide conference constituted of mayors, former mayors, and other elected and appointed local/public officials. This powerful organization has also networked with other organizations in pursuit of their seven-goal agenda – ultimately aimed at securing the future and making the world better.
The founder of WCM, Honorable Johnny Lawrence Ford and the president, Honorable Jimmie Gardner are both recipients of the Prestigious Annual Predecessors Award – an honorary award organized by the Predecessors Awards Worldwide, a network under RAIN for heroes whose legacies are worth immortalizing. These two distinguished heroes have been an encouragement to the RAIN vision, considering that it aligns with the WCM vision.
On Sunday 30 March, 2025 in Accra – Ghana, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was officially signed between the Relevant Achievers Impacting Nations (RAIN) and The World Conference of Mayors Inc. (WCM), to work together as partners in impacting the nations and securing the future. This document essentially contains what RAIN brings to the table in this partnership, in terms of short and long-term goals, projects, events, and so on.
